This lucid dreaming how to guide contains all the different techniques I’ve talked about on this website. So buckle up and enjoy the ride 🙂
There are many different techniques you can use to enter a lucid dream, some of them offer instant results but may be harder to perform others will require some time but you will eventually get there.
.
Wake induced lucid dreams are similar to astral projections. Since you are directly entering a lucid dream it means that you will have a really high level of consciousness. Also WILD’s give the most vivid lucid dreaming experiences.
Pros:
Cons:
The basic lucid dreaming induction technique. DILD stands for Dream Induced Lucid Dream.
Pros:
Cons:
MILD or Mnemonically induced lucid dream basically works by intent. You make your brain to WANT to have a lucid dream and it will do it. However this technique is hardly ever used on its own, most of the time you will combine it with the other techniques to increase the chances for lucid dreaming.
Pros:
Cons:
This is one of the most potent lucid dreaming techniques. It is also used in a combination with the other techniques but this one increases the chances for lucid dreaming by roughly 10 times.
Pros:
Cons:
This is something like the WILD technique. You just need to put a special MP3 on your headphones, close your eyes and enjoy the ride.
Pros:
Cons:

I hope that this lucid dreaming how to guide will help you start lucid dreaming, if i missed something out or you have any suggestions feel free to post a comment bellow and I will respond asap.
One of the many techniques used to learn the art of lucid dreaming is The Dream Exit Initiated Lucid Dream, known as the DEILD technique.
DEILD allows you to have multiple lucid dreams each night. It is sometimes called Dream Chaining, and is a shorter version of the WILD technique. Information on all lucid dreaming techniques can be found in this tutorial.
.
.
Being able to DEILD depends on your ability to learn, or know, the following three things in the exact order.
.
Having accomplished the three steps in the DEILD technique a dream will form around you as you enter REM. The key is waking up after a dream, or the alarm, so you can re-enter the lucid dreaming state and experience more adventures. If you actually feel any sleep paralysis, it will happen really fast and only last a few seconds.
While waiting to fall asleep, you can select the dream you want to have. However, you must lay still while thinking about your dream, waiting for it to form. DEILD also allows you to re-enter your dream just by thinking about it.
If you are more tactile, instead of just thinking about your dream, imagine yourself feeling movement, or touching something.
If by any chance you experience false awakenings, just do some reality checks. This can be normal for many, but does not indicate that you have failed with DEILD.
.
When you are transitioning into the dream state, you may feel a full hypnologic experience or a weak hypnologic experience.
Full hypnologic is when you may see flashing lights, feel strong energy waves, or hear a strange noise.
Weak hypnologic is when you feel a vibrating sensation, some noises, and any lights you see will be too soft to identify.
.
As long as you wake up at the right time and don’t move, you will find the DEILD technique a very successful method. Because you start this procedure when you are already in a REM cycle, you don’t have to trick your body into falling asleep, and you can easily return to your dreams.
Have a journal ready and prepared. You will want to enter all of your dreams, even when you wake during the night. Writing in your Lucid Dream Journal will give you some adventurous reading, and track your successes.
.
The Difference between DELID and WILD
The DELID technique (dream chaining) is shorter and almost instant while WILD can take up to 30 minutes.

Waking up 5 seconds after realizing that you are dreaming
_
I was reading trough the dreamviews forum for the last hour, going trough people’s first lucid dreaming experiences and here is a pattern that I found:
_
_
“I suddenly just realized I was dreaming, and quickly tried to have sex with the lady next to me, and I woke up within 5 seconds of becoming lucid.”
– This is really a common experience to all lucid dreamers, it doesn’t have to be about sex, it can be about flying or something exciting. In our first lucid dream most of us simply don’t do the warm-up stabilization routines, mostly because we don’t know how and sometimes just because we never thought it was that important.
_
The first thing you experience when you realize that you are dreaming is a little shock and there is a rush of thoughts : “woow, this is cool”, “what to do now?”, “can I fly?”, “FINALLY, I AM LUCDI DREAMING”, “I can do whatever I want”… etc.
_
This doesn’t wake you up.
_
The thing that does wake you up is adding additional shock to your dream by rushing to do the cool stuff like flying instead of taking few seconds to relax, look around and explore your environment.
_
This is the main distinction between lucid dreaming beginners and veterans. Beginners try to do some advanced flying maneuvers where as the veterans chill and do their warm-up stabilizations routines.
_
The results:
Beginners have 5 second dreams
Pro’s have 5 – 60 minute dreams
_
How to battle this sticking point:
– Learn about reality checks and dream stabilization techniques
– Practice in your mind (coming soon) – it is basically a repetitive imagination of doing warm-up right after realizing that you are dreaming.
The purpose of these wallpapers is to remind you to do a reality check each time you see them on your desktop and to increase your general awareness for lucid dreaming.
